INDIA: Infrastructure PPPs- PPP Training Content & Curriculum Development and Training of Trainers in India

New Delhi, on December 22, 2010, Pranab Mukherjee, the Indian Finance Minister, formally launched the PPP Courses developed by e.Gen for the Indian Government.

The overall objectives of the assignment are to assist the Department of Economic Affairs(DEA), Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India to develop curriculum and content for courses aimed at enhancing core PPP skills among staff working across a variety of functional areas; and train a cadre of trainers to teach the course content and curriculum through assessing PPP Capacity Building Needs.

Activities Performed:

  1. Training needs assessment
  2. Curriculum Development
  3. Training of trainers
  4. Roll-out Strategy for the training program

Milestones:

  • Training needs assessment successfully completed across 13 states and covering over 280 government officials
  • Curriculum officially launched by the Finance Minister of India in December 2010

Impact:

A part of the National PPP Capacity Building Program designed to enable India achieve its target of USD 1 trillion in PPP investments in the 12th Five Year Plan.
