Learning Experience

An employee of e.Gen receives exposure to both the public and private sector, of not only Bangladesh but also neighboring regions like Nepal and Vietnam and far off regions like Nigeria. What do we look for in our applicants?

Qualifications

e.Gen believes more in ability than in degree, relies more on street smartness than on pedagogy, values competency more than background. While we recognize the value of academic and professional qualifications and relevant background, we do not rule out a candidate who can convince us of his/her ability to deliver even without the required qualifications – Ability has no School. Hence, if you have it in you what it takes and are confident enough, we encourage you to apply.

Not necessarily but ideally people with following background are expected to be a better fit for the positions offered. Experience for entry level position is not required, for other positions it is preferred and can be waived in exceptional cases.

Academic

Bachelors or Masters in Business Administration, Economics, Development Economics, International Relations, Public Administration, Media & Journalism, Environment, English

Professional

Experience in working Consulting Industry, Development Sector, Donor Agencies, International Organizations, Media & Advertising, Well Reputed NGOs.

Two qualifications are must – 1st is to have strong command over English, particularly the ability to write correct, efficient, and professional English is considered a must. The 2nd is to have very strong computer knowledge and skills. Without these two abilities, it would be difficult to have a promising career in this industry.
